With corporate mediocrity being jammed down our throats like a spoonful of Nickelback, it’s hard not to miss the authenticity and foot-stomping goodness of a hard-hitting rock group. Armed with a full inventory of driving rhythms, this righteous trio of Arizona rockers are right at home crushin’ out blues grooves on stage. In the studio, they take a smooth and confident approach to their heart-pounding work. The Broken Rhodes have already found their way onto my Alternative/Garage Rock iPod playlist; right between Wolfmother and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
